Oskar Hartmann

Serial entrepreneur, investor, philanthropist, athlete, family man and author

He was born in 1982, in Kazakhstan, in a family of German heritage. When he was 7, they moved to Germany. At the age of 17, he moved to the USA where he graduated from Тuscarawas Valley High School, and then got back to Germany to graduate from the Technical Gymnasia as the best student in his course. In 2004, Oskar served alternative service to the German Army, which was held in the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital. Afterwards, he graduated from the WHU Business School of Management majoring in International Business and completed two exchange semesters at the University of Hawaii (USA) and Financial Academy (Russia).

Serial entrepreneur

First Oscar's business was a sports nutrition e-store in Germany. In 2007, after the university, he moved to Moscow where he joined Boston Consulting Group.

In 2008, he created KUPIVIP GROUP selling fashion brands with discounts. Until 2013, he has been the company's CEO, leading KUPIVIP to become the market leader with revenues of USD250 million. In 2017, Forbes ranked it in the TOP 20 Internet Companies List. Oskar's mantra is: Just do it!

In 2010, he established SAPATO (for selling new footwear collections online) and SHOPPINGLIVE (the first TV shop using live broadcasting). In 2012, Ozon.ru bought SAPATO for 70m$ . In the same year, Oskar sold a major share in SHOPPINGLIVE, which gave Oskar first capital and started a very creative and productive period to generate a whole range of companies (Teamo, CARPRICE GROUP, Relevant Media, ZaOdno, AKTIVO, Vitaportal, Autospot, IQcard, Hlebnoe mesto, Factorymarket). At that time, Oskar also suffered from the first-ever significant losses: kupibonus, heverest, homefair, and some other his investments could not achieve their missions.

Oskar is an Ambassador in several annual contests for entrepreneurs, including the Breakthrough of the Year and EY — Entrepreneur of the Year. He is member of board of directors at AlfaBank. Last year he was included in top 1000 richest men in Germany.
